Jesus in the Secular World: Equipping the Church of Sacramento, CA

JSW-Sacramento2024-Wide
February 15, 2024

How can I equip & encourage my congregation to share Jesus with those who would not walk into a church?

There is an ever-widening cultural divide between secular youth culture and the Church. An entire generation sees the church as oppressive, outdated, and irrelevant. The Bible is no longer considered the moral compass, but rather everyone is free to decide for themselves what is right and wrong. They claim to be free, but they're anxious, confused, lonely, and depressed. This should break our hearts!

Our churches are constantly trying to find creative ways to invite people to walk through our doors, but the divide with the secular world seems to keep growing.

So as pastors what can we do about this?

You are invited to join this pastors’ training on Thursday, February 15 at Jessup University focused on:

  1. Understanding the Global Youth Culture
  2. Strategies to equip your church to relevantly engage the secular world
  3. God’s mission through the work of Steiger

This workshop will be hosted by Jessup University and led by Filipe Machado (North America Regional Director) and Ryan DesJardin (Northern California Development Officer).

Light refreshments will be provided (coffee, tea, snacks).

This event is 100% free! Simply register so we know you’re coming. Space is limited!

Date:
Thursday, February 15 from 9:30-11:30am PST
