Next up, they looked after 81 students who arrived a week later from South America, all of whom had to be quarantined at our International Center in Krögis, Germany. For a time, our place looked like a big prison with different students and volunteers in isolation, awaiting their negative Covid tests.
“Despite difficult international travel restrictions and Covid regulations, 160 students and volunteers from 17 countries are participating in our first International SMS since the pandemic. Our building is completely full and 27 additional students are sleeping in tents.
But praise God, everyone tested negative and most could be released from isolation before the school started.
As I write this, we are two weeks into our school and it feels to me that God is pouring out His Spirit stronger than ever. In our first outreach in Dresden, our students were so brave and bold for Jesus. Many they talked to received prayer, God did miracles everywhere, and people made decisions to follow Jesus right there on the city streets.”

Proclaiming Jesus on the streets in Europe
Back to the Streets Seminar
Our Steiger leaders across Europe have been bringing the Back to the Streets seminar all over the region - mostly in countries and cities where we have yet to establish City Teams.
Bridget, a student at one of these seminars shared, “Since I came to the seminar, I’ve been talking to people about Jesus everywhere I go! Even though the Steiger team moved on, my heart continues to burn for Jesus and I can’t stop talking to people about Him.”
The seminar Bridget participated in Prague was just one of a series of five that the Steiger Europe team has put together. Over the next few weeks, they’ll be challenging 3 more cities in Slovakia, Hungary, and Romania to get Back to the Streets and reach the Global Youth Culture for Jesus.
This was the first time many of those present had heard about the Global Youth Culture
USA Update
For our first ever Steiger Local Missions Trip, we brought together thirteen young men and women from one of our Minneapolis partner churches to seek God, learn about the Global Youth Culture, and hit the streets to reach them. It was an incredibly powerful four days! Since then, the Young Adults Pastor contacted our City Team Leader to ask if their entire group can join the City Team! “Seeing God open up doors in the heart of darkness - being able to be a light in that place and have gospel conversations is incredible,” he shared.
Elsewhere in the North American region, our teams continue to grow. Six members of our Denver City Team are at the Steiger Missions School, and even still, the team’s outreach events back home have remained strong. And this month kicks off our pioneering efforts in Texas with a Pioneer Team of young global missionaries who will be laying the foundations for our Houston City Team.
At the moment in the USA, we have 2 established City Teams in Denver and Minneapolis and one growing team in Houston. We have begun the important work of building relationships in two other cities (Reno and Sacramento), and are eager for our efforts there and across the country to begin bearing fruit.
Please continue to pray for this region as we work to build City Teams and reach the young people across the US who have no interest in stepping foot in a church.
Opportunities
As a worldwide mission organization, Steiger consists of Missionaries, Staff, and Volunteers, who serve together in the common, God-given mission of reaching the Global Youth Culture for Jesus. Though we all have different gifts and talents, each of us has a specific and important role to play. Could God be calling YOU to join our team?
