WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STEIGER MVMT:

  • Start regular evangelistic actions: use resources like the Steiger Streets manual to start creative evangelistic actions.
  • Follow up: use resources like IsThereMore? Spiritual Conversations and Bible Studies to follow-up with those interested in knowing more.
  • Join the Steiger community: join regular Steiger MVMT calls, and Steiger’s worldwide call to stay engaged and inspired by the Steiger community.
  • Share what’s happening: share stories, pictures and metrics on the community chat (Steiger Metrics App coming soon!) We would love to know:
    • evangelistic actions; # gospel reach; # follow-up event attendees
  • Get trained: attend the Steiger Missions School and join Steiger events and Impact Trips to keep growing in your calling.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM STEIGER?

  • Input from a Steiger MVMT leader though the community chat and occasional one-on-one calls
  • Permission and guidelines to open local Steiger MVMT social media accounts
  • Full access to the Steiger resources for training, evangelism and discipleship
  • A Steiger MVMT can invite an official Steiger team, or leader, to visit their city to run an Impact Event and share in local churches.
  • Content to explain the vision and values of Steiger to your church/network.

ROADMAP FOR MVMT LEADERS

A MVMT leader is part of a regional leadership team and responsible for planting, developing and staying connected with MVMT representatives in the region. Here are some steps a MVMT leader can take to develop the Steiger MVMT in the region.

STEPS TO DEVELOP A MVMT IN YOUR REGION

  1. Plan impact events in the region: identify ideal cities with key people interested in Steiger, and bring a team to run a mobilizing event.
    1. Mobilize new people
    2. Generate church partnerships
    3. Encourage the MVMT in that city
    4. Identify potential MVMT representatives

  1. Maintain contact with the MVMT representative: work with the identified representative to walk them through the MVMT 5 steps (above). Encourage them through one-on-one calls, group chats and calls, visiting again when possible.

  1. Gather metrics from MVMTs: Encourage each MVMT to share stories on the group chats and to send in key metrics (step 4 above).

  1. Help the MVMT people get trained:
    1. Invite key MVMT people to join Impact events and trips happening in other places, or to attend local training events in other cities.
    2. Guide MVMT representatives and core team members to apply for the SMS

  1. Guide successful MVMTs towards becoming SCTs in development: connect successful MVMTs to the regional leadership to be developed into CTs. (See document Steiger MVMT + City Teams)

  1. Nominate MVMT ambassadors: As the MVMT grows you will need help in staying connected with all representatives. For this we recommend nominating regional ambassadors who can take care of groups of MVMTs.
