Patrycja came to the Sfera tent café during the Polish SLOT festival in 2015. She enjoyed the atmosphere so much that she asked to be a Sfera volunteer in 2016. She joined the team with 16 other Sfera/Steiger volunteers. With time spent together, many talks and prayers, she decided she also wanted to follow Jesus.
She told her boyfriend, who then also came to Sfera and talked to Tomek, one of our Polish Steiger missionaries. After a deep conversation he also invited Jesus into his life. Soon after SLOT, Tomek received an email from him, thanking for “bringing God to his life”.
The couple started attending a church we partner with in Wroclaw, and last month they were both baptized. They are both great musicians, and have already got involved in worship at the church and are thinking of ways they can communicate their new found faith through their band.
Our Polish team has been traveling around Poland over this European summer, sharing the Gospel through the Sfera tent and WAYOUT project, both led by Tomek Soin and Monika Szumiło. With a team of around 20 volunteers helping at different events, they were able to share the good news in 6 Sfera events at festivals in Poland and Germany, 10 WAYOUT band performances in clubs, local art centers and prisons, and various other opportunities with the WAYOUT art exhibition, including some universities and the Warsaw national gallery.
Sfera is a mobile cafe, seating around 60 people, in which the team runs workshops, art exhibitions, music performances and a great environment for relationships and deep conversations. WAYOUT is a band and an art exhibition showing a modern day version of the stations of the cross.
