Dear Friends
Prisons in São Paulo, Brazil are controlled by a powerful criminal gang called the PCC or First Capital Command. Prison guards never enter the prison except when they conduct surprise raids to look for contraband. Because the gangs run the prison you need their permission and protection to go inside.

A few weeks ago the gang invited Sandro and I to preach in the center of the main prison courtyard. This happened because we had spoken in the prison the week before in a small chapel. Some gang leaders came and they liked what we said and so they invited us to speak to the whole prison.
So Sandro and I shouted in the pouring rain while men watched from three levels of balconies surrounding the muddy courtyard. I told them that Jesus was not weak but strong and that He suffered capital punishment not for a crime He committed but for a crime we committed so that we could be set free from death.
I invited these tough men to raise their hands if they wanted to surrender to Jesus and many men raised their hands while everyone else in the prison courtyard started to clap! Afterwards I answered questions for nearly one hour and Sandro and I prayed for many men including one guy who lost his teeth and tongue from a shotgun blast.
Sandro is now going to the prison to meet with those who responded. He sent me this email a few days ago.
This is a huge miracle!
Pray for preparations to return to this prison with a No Longer Music team.
Pray for these men! If some of these PCC Gang leaders become radical followers of Jesus it would have an enormous impact all over Brazil.
For the lost

Hi David,
I thought you would like to know that when I went back to the prison yesterday, everybody was asking about you. They said your preaching in the rain caused a huge impact in the prison, several of the men who decided to follow Jesus after that day are coming to the services at the chapel and the "doors" are wide open for us to do a No Longer Music concert inside the prison (we just need to get approval from the Director now and schedule a date for it). Three PCC prison gang leaders were sitting in the front row during the chapel service yesterday.
