Steiger Europe Director, Luke Greenwood, was on the plane to Bogotá for the second Steiger Intensive Training in Latin America, when he felt compelled by the Holy Spirit to talk with the young man next to him. He shared the word God had put on his heart and the man, Sergio, was blown away. His mother had recently passed away and it was very hard on him. As they spoke about the God who is alive and real, Sergio came to the decision to give his life to Jesus.
The school pushed me to my limit.

Luke shared. “He asked me why I was going to Bogotá, so I told him about our Intensive Training. I invited him to come and he decided to cancel all his plans and join us! God was doing something powerful in Sergio, and after an impactful weekend, he was baptized. We are now in regular contact and hope to meet when he returns to Germany later in the year.”
Sergio is just one of the many whose lives were rocked at one of our Steiger Intensives last month.
With two in Latin America and four in the Russian Speaking World, we challenged hundreds of young people to see the Global Youth Culture as God does. So many of them surrendered to God’s calling on their lives and as a result, heard Him like they never had before.
Kiev Community House: Welcoming Prodigals Home
Many DJs who play at the house parties are searching for truth themselves The thumping of the DJ’s music echoed up and down the stairwell, and the young men had to scoot to the edge of the stairs every time someone decided to use them. Even still, it was the perfect place for the Holy Spirit to work. A few days before the party, Max met the Kiev City Team for the first Bible Study for the Non-Religious at the new Community House. He couldn’t understand why he’d even received an invitation, but ever since he’d gone, he’d been unable to get the discussion out of his mind. When Denis, one of our missionaries in Kiev, saw Max again at the party, he knew he couldn’t waste the opportunity. The pair sat in the stairwell for over an hour, discussing the burning questions Max had about the Gospel.
Our Community House in Kiev has only been open for a month. And already, stories like Max’s have played out in every room of the house. Since the first housewarming party, over 150 secular young people have filled the house.
At the second party, ten of the party guests joined the Bible Study for the Non-Religious to hear the parable of the prodigal son. At the end of the night, two decided to give their lives to Jesus!
Those who have never met the true Jesus and those who have long since walked away from the church are walking through the doors of our Community House in Kiev, and encountering the living God.
Throughout the week, many guests are learning about the real Jesus
