Our Steiger City Teams are continuing to bravely share the love of Jesus despite persisting global uncertainty and lockdowns - and we are seeing an unbelievable hunger for the Gospel!
Beginning last June and continuing through their three coldest winter months, 110 Steiger teams in the Russian Speaking World (RSW) shared the Gospel in more than 60 cities in 6 countries!
“Last year, we had our first local training in four cities of Russia, and we were so inspired by what happened after that. Now we are seeing a huge movement, not only in these cities but also in the surrounding regions. People immediately started putting all of Steiger’s teaching into practice. Youth pastors from different churches are joining us, and we’ve seen them preaching the Gospel in the pouring rain. Nothing can stop them! I believe that this will always bear fruit. And I also believe that there’s going to be a team of brave and courageous people just like this in every city of Russia” - Dasha, Steiger Moscow
During their recent Valentine’s Day outreach, one Steiger RSW City Team went to a busy square, where they could offer free “love letters from God” to passersby to spark conversations. Olya, a member of the team, was drawn to a young woman who was fire spinning in the streets. She knew that God wanted this girl to know how much He loved her - and that He had given everything for her.
“I couldn’t figure out how to start a conversation with her because she was busy with her performance,” Olya shared. “At the end of the night, I came back to try to find her, but she was gone.”
“Where is she?’ I prayed. Then I walked to the subway, and there she was, and I knew that was my moment. I started talking with her. Her name was Julie and she was very open. And then, right there in the subway, Julie received Jesus! Now she wants to be a part of our outreaches, using her artistic talents to tell others about Christ, too.”
God is starting a new Jesus movement all over the Russian Speaking World!
Our North American Pioneer Team Boldly Shared the Gospel Across the United States!
For the first time ever, in September 2020, we sent a pioneering team to the United States to support our efforts in Minneapolis, Houston, and Denver. One of the team’s dynamic members was Yvonne from Madrid, Spain.
“The first weeks in the Pioneer Team, we felt really strong. We were thriving, God was moving powerfully, and everything seemed perfect. However, as the days went by, we started facing challenges, and suddenly, I felt insecure. External factors made it hard to accomplish some of our goals, and thoughts of inadequacy started bombarding my mind. For weeks I felt overwhelmed until I understood why: I was relying on my own strength, not God’s. So, I started renewing my mind daily, taking every lie captive with God’s Word, and trusting that He would accomplish the work He had called us to.
This changed everything. Tiredness turned into gratefulness and I started seeing God’s faithfulness in every challenge we faced. The outreaches, travel, housing, or even when some of us had COVID, revealed God to us as our provider. Experiencing His constant provision for three months was mind-blowing.
I’ve learned God’s heart for people will lead Him to provide abundantly for His children, just as He’d leave the 99 for the one. He moved a mission to send people across the ocean during a pandemic, just so we could encounter that one. We witnessed how many lost ones were found by their Father, and seeing this made every challenge of the trip worthwhile.”
