After Khmelnitskiy we returned to Lutsk for the first time in 4 years, the first time being NLM’s initial tour in Ukraine.
Again we had a warm reception from the church and were able to play in a big central square of the city. After we set up the stage it was one of those situations where we wondered if anyone would come. Some had gathered, but not what we were accustomed to thus far on the tour of Ukraine.
But when Nuteki started hundreds came from all directions. It was a rowdy crowd very engaged with some drunk and crazy guys mixed in.
However when David spoke after the concert, once again the Holy Spirit fell and you could feel Gods love everywhere; we had many good conversations and all were invited to the follow-up meeting the next day.
The meeting was held in the local church, which was connected to the lobby of a hotel just outside the city. It was packed with people from the concert.
Ben spoke and then Misha invited people to receive Jesus. While this was happening some stood at the door and laughed but despite the distraction many people prayed and it was clear that God was working in the hearts of many young people there. It was really an amazing night!
Our next show will be the last with Nuteki before they return to Minsk, due to the final two Ukrainian cities banning them from playing because of them being primarily a Russian band. Again an incredible time in the city of Lutsk! Thanks for your prayers!
