The last 24 hours have been intense, to say the least! Yesterday as we were driving to Dnepropetrovsk (the location of our next show) I received a message from our sound guy that the axle of stage trailer had snapped in half!
With only a few hours before the start of our show, we frantically looked for a replacement stage and miraculously found one that was not only big enough but could be set up in time.
The set up was extremely stressful and fifteen minutes after we were supposed to start we were still getting ready.
Despite the difficulties we faced, the concert was great! Several thousand people came, and you would never have known that the show was on the verge of being canceled.
When David preached, you could sense the presence of God. Even though the crowd was large, the atmosphere was peaceful and calm. It felt as though David was speaking to a handful of people in a living room. David shared how we were meant to know God. He explained that only God could fill our emptiness and set us free from our sin. He invited those who want to receive Jesus to pray out loud, and many did.
Our film crew interviewed one girl who was incredibly touched. She explained how during the show she could sense something happening inside of her, and that when David explained how it was possible to know God she just knew she had to.
She said she “prayed with all of her might” and was so excited to know Jesus! Many people gave their lives to Jesus despite all the battles we fought to make it happen.
Our stage is still not repaired, one of our teammates Ge Vang only just got released from the hospital, many of other team members are sick - this has been an incredibly tough tour filled with challenges. Nevertheless, we are more confident than ever of the importance of what God has called us to do here in Ukraine and throughout the world.
